Artistic Customs Restoration & Repair Policies

  1. A deposit of $2000.00 is required in order to be added to our waiting list

  2. Shop rate is $95.00/hr

  3. An additional deposit may be required to order necessary parts and materials. The amount is subject to change depending on the type of job.

  4. A 50% deposit will be required on a Roadster Shop Chassis. All parts are SPECIAL ORDER and return options vary.

  5. We will provide a monthly invoice/statement tracking your balance on the 10th of the following month. Payment is due within ten days. If your balance is not paid in full within 30 days, your vehicle will be taken out of the shop rotation and other paying customers will be put in the rotation ahead of yours.

  6. We reserve the right to refuse working on a vehicle after multiple missed payments.

  7. It is impossible to estimate the exact cost of a restoration or the hours involved at any time during the project. Anyone giving you one is doing nothing more than throwing darts. If we can give you an idea based off of similar vehicles/work from the past it is by no means a final price and it is subject to change depending on the needs of the project/customer change requests. Restorations are performed as efficiently as possible without compromising the finished quality that we so proudly stand behind.

  8. Insurance is recommended on your vehicle. Your vehicle will be covered while it is being restored at our shop. Artistic Customs will not take any vehicle to a car show that is not insured for its stated value. The customer will be 100% liable for anything that happens to the vehicle on the way to and from the car show as well as at the car show.

What you need to know about the Aftermarket Automotive Industry:

  1. Nothing ever fits as advertised. The aftermarket industry has come a long way but still has a long way to go compared to the parts you find in a manufacturer vehicle.

  2. Lots of parts are made by people that have no mechanical background or real world experience working on cars. When parts are mocked they are usually mocked on a single vehicle and then maybe slotted to help fit but no two cars are alike. The amount of time that can be involved with modifying these parts to fit a car or a car to fit the part can become costly and sometimes that cost is forwarded to the customer as we are not responsible for the manufacturing of the part or the cars condition.

  3. The warranty on parts only covers the part itself. They do not cover the labor time involved in removing, packaging, shipping and reinstalling the new part. Artistic Customs does not accept any responsibility for faulty parts or cover any labor involved in the diagnosis or repair of such parts. Time spent diagnosing and repairing are billed to the customer.
